Data Access and Documentation
The Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) is a multidisciplinary and cross-national panel database of micro data on health, socio-economic status and social and family networks of more than 123,000 individuals (approximately 293,000 interviews) from 20 European countries (+Israel) aged 50 or over.
On this page you will find an overview about the DOI registered datasets. The Digital Object Identifier (DOI®) system is for identifying content objects and SHARE uses the DOI system to permanently identify its dataset. Each wave and each release is assigned a persistent DOI.
Important note and disclaimer:
Please note that this SHARE website is the sole source for official information on the project and its data. You may, however, find information on the study elsewhere on the internet from non-authorised third parties (ranging from metadata on the project and data documentation to aggregated research results to programme code and so-called harmonisation files). If referring to or using such information, please be aware that it might be outdated or incorrect and that we cannot assume any responsibility and liability.
The SHARE Research Data Center of the official website of the SHARE study is the sole access point to the SHARE data. Here SHARE users can obtain the survey data after successful registration. If you, however, should happen to find copies of the actual SHARE data (or parts thereof) elsewhere on the internet, please inform us immediately about this breach of the SHARE Data Access Rules.
