9. Une préretraite d'entreprise

11. Une pension de réversion d'un régime complémentaire
96. Aucune de ces prestations

1. Basic pension (general regime or assimilited regimes, special regime for the public sector, basic regime of independent workers): We have used this modality for basic pensions. The relevant dichotomy in France is not between public and private pensions, but between basic and complementary pensions. This first ones are generally co-managed by the State and social partners, the second group is organised on a professional basis, exclusively managed by social partners, but the two kinds of systems are considered as public (all these schemes are considered by the UE as first pillar schemes).
2. Public preretirement pension: This category is limited in France to preretirement. The concept of early retirement does not have a clear meaning in France, where the first age of eligibility to pension entitlements (60 in the private sector) is more or less confounded with the normal age at retirement.
3. Dropped : no prestation of this kind that could be distinguishable from those covered by category 6
4. Unemployment benefit
5. Survivor pension from a basic regime: Applies to survivor pensions of basic regimes (see item 1).
6. A public invalidity pension (AAH, APA): Note that APA (a benefit dedicated to old disabled people) could have been dealt with through questions EP085-088, but I never had any answer to this request
7. War pension
8. One or several complementary old age pensions: This item is used for complementary pensions (see item 1).
9. A preretirement pension paid by the employer
10. A invalidity benefit paid by the employer
11.A survivor pension from a complementary regime: Used for survivor pensions from complementary schemes (see item 1)

AS002: HAS ANY SAVINGS OR INVESTMENTS
GENERIC France (FR) english
Explanatory notes
AS002: There is a slight modification due to the fact that “life insurance” is, in France, a generic term that covers two kinds of contracts :
I) Life insurance “in case of survival”, i.e. annuities paid as long as the beneficiary remains alive.
II) Life insurance “in case of death”, which benefits to survivors.
The first kind of contract has been aggregated with Individual retirement accounts (category 5). They are a close substitute to this kind of product. The second kind of contract has been left as category 7.
